Funeral Rites, 2006
This backroom slide show installation at Nowhere Bar, NYC, was inspired by readings of Jean Genet, viewers re-enact scenes of sexual depravity behind a white veil with silhouette slide projections. It was hard to know what was happening live and what was projected throughout the night. (over 100 images and 90min of audio readings of Jean Genet’s Funeral Rites)
