Eating Jenny Holzer, 2005

Sitting down at a carved table of Jenny Holtzer’s texts, I decided to eat her words by smashing bread over the crevices of text, imprinting her words on the bread, smearing peanut butter ‘n jam and having it for lunch.

FREEDOM IS A LUXURY NOT A NECESSITY
IF YOU HAVE MANY DESIRES YOUR LIFE WILL BE INTERESTING
IT’S BETTER TO BE NAIVE THAN JADED
OFTEN YOU SHOULD ACT LIKE YOU ARE SEXLESS
WHEN SOMETHING TERRIBLE HAPPENS PEOPLE WAKE UP
ABUSE OF POWER COMES AS NO SURPRISE
EXPIRING FOR LOVE IS BEAUTIFUL BUT STUPID
