Basement Performances, 2002

The following performances are meant to be playful meditations. A way of learning over again how my body and mind react to certain objects, and in a way, to relearn how to be playful. These are not meant to be definitive. What I did was place myself in the basement and use whatever objects I found lying around to become the basis of exploration in to my own conceptual living process. My body is used to regain what it is like to live inside it, with it. It becomes a dominant physical presense in the absence of language. This is a tool, and I invite you to explore your own roles in experimenting for yourself how to use the tools given to us.
